Abstract: In the title compound, 4CH6N+·C10H2O84-·2H2O, the complete C10H2O84- anion is generated by inversion; one of the unique carboxylate groups is almost coplanar with the benzene ring, perhaps as the result of intramolecular C-H
O interactions, and the other is almost perpendicular. A network of O-H
O and N-H
O hydrogen bonds helps to consolidate the crystal packing.
