O]nickel(II)Abstract: In the title compound, [NiCl2(C14H13NO)2], the NiII atom is four-coordinated by two phenolate O atoms from two 2-(o-tolyliminomethyl)phenol ligands and two Cl anions, giving an approximately tetrahedral geometry. The Ni atom lies on a crystallographic twofold rotation axis. A strong intramolecular N-H
O hydrogen bond forms an S(6) ring.
