(R,S)-Methyl 3-methyl-5-oxo-1-phenylcyclohex-3-ene-1-carboxylate

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₅H₁₆O₃, has two molecules in the asymmetric unit. The cyclohex-2-enone ring has an envelope conformation in both molecules. The crystal exhibits twinning. The molecular packing in the crystal structure is determined by weak intermolecular C-HO interactions.
