A.-X. Sui, G. Zhu and Z.-X. Tang

Abstract: The crystal structure of the title compound, [CuCl(C12H8N2)2](C6H6NO3S)·3H2O, contains CuII cations five-coordinated by one chloride anion and four N atoms of two 1,10-phenanthroline ligands. Between the the 4-aminobenzenesulfonate anions and the uncoordinated water molecules intermolecular hydrogen bonding is found.
