2-Amino-5-(p-nitrophenylsulfonyl)-1,3-thiazole

Abstract: In the molecule of the title compound, C₉H₇N₃O₄S₂, the thiazole ring is oriented with respect to the benzene ring at a dihedral angle of 67.85 (5)°. Molecules are linked by intermolecular N-HO and N-HN hydrogen bonds between the amino H atoms and O and N atoms of the sulfonyl group and thiazole ring, respectively, forming infinite sheets.
