The title compound, (C31H42N3)2[Mo6O19], contains an [Mo6O19]2- hexa­molybdate anion, which is built up from six distorted MoO6 octa­hedra sharing common edges and one common vertex at the central O atom, and two hexa­ethyl­pararosaniline cations to balance the charge. The Mo-O distances lie in the range 1.670 (3)-2.325 (2) Å.

Special details top

Geometry. All e.s.d.'s (except the e.s.d. in the dihedral angle between two l.s. planes) are estimated using the full covariance matrix.
