Bis(2-methylquinolinium) tetrachloroferrate(III) chloride

Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C₁₀H₁₀N)₂[FeCl₄]Cl, consists of two 2-methylquinolinium cations, a tetrachloroferrate(III) anion with one of the Cl atoms disordered, and a chloride anion. In the crystal structure, there are - stacking interactions between the cations in an ABBA arrangement, N-HCl hydrogen bonds, and Fe-Cl interactions.
