Triaqua(4-hydroxypyridine-2,6-dicarboxylato)nickel(II) sesquihydrate

Abstract: The title compound, [Ni(chedam)(H₂O)₃]·1.5H₂O [H₂chedam = 4-hydroxypyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid, C₇H₅NO₅], consists of one nickel cation, one chedam ligand, three coordinated water molecules and 1.5 uncoordinated water molecules. The nickel(II) cation is six-coordinate, with a distorted octahedral geometry.
