Abstract: The Ru^II atom in the title complex, [Ru(C₁₂H₈N₂)₂(C₁₂H₈N₃)]ClO₄·C₇H₈·0.5CH₃CN, is in a distorted octahedral environment coordinated by two 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) and one deprotonated 2-(2-pyridyl)benzimidazole (PIB) ligand.
