Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title compound, C13H11N3O4, there are two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. In each case, the methylcarboxylate group is twisted by about 90° relative to the rest of the molecule. The molecules are packed in the crystal structure through N-H
O hydrogen bonds.
