Abstract: The title compound, C₂₈H₄₀N₄O₄·CHCl₃, crystallizes with two half-molecules of the macrocycle and one molecule of chloroform solvent in the asymmetric unit. Each macrocycle lies on a centre of inversion. The molecular structure is stabilized by N-HO and C-HO intramolecular interactions, and the crystal packing is stabilized by C-HO and C-H intermolecular interactions.
