Abstract: In the title compound, [Ni(C2H8N2)(C6H16N2)(H2O)2]Cl2·2H2O, the NiII ion, located on a twofold axis, is coordinated by four N atoms of the ethylenediamine and N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine ligands and two water molecules in a distorted octahedral geometry. Hydrogen bonds between ethylenediamine, water molecules and chloride ions help to construct a three-dimensional supramolecular architecture.
