Diaquabis(1,10-phenanthroline-[kappa]2N,N')cobalt(II) dihydrogenphosphate nitrate dihydrate

J. Abdelhak, S. Namouchi Cherni, M. F. Zid and A. Driss

Abstract: The structure of the title compound, [Co(C12H8N2)2(H2O)2](H2PO4)(NO3)·2H2O, is built up from layers of complex [Co(C12H8N2)2(H2O)2]2+ cations and phosphate units parallel to (010), delimiting a-axis tunnels in which the nitrate anions and the water molecules are located. The molecular structure is stabilized by intermolecular hydrogen bonds and weak [pi]-[pi] stacking interactions.
