Abstract: The reaction of pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid (H₂DPC) and 2-methylimidazole (mim) with CuCl₂·6H₂O yields the one-dimensional title polymer, [Cu(C₇H₃O₄)(C₄H₆N₂)]_n. Hydrogen bonds connect the one-dimensional polymer chains into a three-dimensional supramolecular architecture.
