Aquabis(2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetato)(1,10-phenanthroline-²N,N')copper(II)

Abstract: In the title mononuclear complex, [Cu(C₈H₅Cl₂O₃)₂(C₁₂H₈N₂)(H₂O)], the Cu^II atom exists in a slightly distorted square-pyramidal coordination environment involving two carboxylate O atoms from two monodentate 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate ligands, two N atoms from a 1,10-phenanthroline ligand and one water molecule. A supramolecular structure is constructed by hydrogen-bonding and - stacking interactions.
