Abstract: The title compound, C₁₃H₁₄O₃, is a natural product isolated from Brickellia cavanillesii and is of interest with respect to its biological activity. The structure displays an intramolecular O-HO hydrogen bond and the crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular C-H and C-HO interactions. The pyran ring exists in the half-chair conformation.
