Tetrakis(2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzenethiolato-S)(triphenylphosphine-P)osmium(IV) n-hexane hemisolvate

Abstract: The title compound, [Os(C₆HF₄S)₄(PPh₃)]·0.5C₆H₁₄, includes a trigonal-bipyramidal Os^IV complex with a coordination geometry close to that known for the analogous unsolvated complex, and hexane disordered around an inversion centre. Significant libration and rotation are observed for the thiolate ligands in the crystal structure when compared with the unsolvated species.
