Tetramethylammonium hydrogen 4,5-dichlorophthalate

Abstract: In the title compound, C₄H₁₂⁺·C₈H₃Cl₂O₄^-, the hydrogen 4,5-dichlorophthalate ions are linked to the tetramethylammonium ions through C-HO hydrogen bonds, generating two edge-fused motifs, viz. R₂¹(6) and S(7)R₁²(7). The cation and all atoms of the anion lie on a mirror plane.
