Abstract: The title compound, C₁₈H₁₆N₄O, was prepared by the reaction of 5-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carbohydrazide with 4-methylbenzaldehyde in refluxing ethanol. The structure exhibits weak intermolecular N-HO and N-HN hydrogen-bonding interactions.
