Tetrapropylammonium trans-diamminetetranitrocobaltate(III)

Abstract: The Co^III title complex, [(C₃H₇)₄N][trans-Co(NH₃)₂(NO₂)₄], has been synthesized and crystallized from an acetone-water mixture. The asymmetric unit contains two cations and two anions. The X-ray structure determination revealed the presence of discrete ions interacting through weak hydrogen bonds and van der Waals interactions, as well as Coulombic interactions.
