Abstract: In the centrosymmetric title compound, [Au₂(C₂₅H₂₂P₂)₂](ClO₄)₂, the Au^I ion adopts a linear geometry with a weak intra-cation AuAu interaction, characterized by a metal-metal separation of 2.9258 (9) Å.
