Abstract: In the title compound [systematic name: 4-acetamido-N-(4-methylpyrimidin-2-yl)benzenesulfonamide], C₁₃H₁₄N₄O₃S (NSMZ), which is the acetyl derivative of 4-amino-N-(4-methylpyrimidin-2-yl)benzenesulfonamide (sulfamerazine, SMZ), a network of N-HN and N-HO interactions results in sheets of molecules in the crystal structure.
