N4)zinc(II)]-
-5-carboxybenzene-1,3-dicarboxylato] dihydrate]Abstract: The structure of the title complex, {[Zn(C9H4O6)(C2H4N4)(H2O)]·2H2O}n, contains extended one-dimensional chains with 5-carboxybenzene-1,3-dicarboxylate anions bridging ZnII atoms. The unique ZnII atom is in a distorted tetrahedral coordination environment. In the crystal structure, intermolecular N-H
O, O-H
O and O-H
N hydrogen bonds link the chains and solvent water molecules into a three-dimensional network.
