3O,N,O)cerate(III) trihydrateAbstract: The nine-coordinate cerium(III) complex with guanidinium as cation, (CH6N3)3[Ce(C7H3NO4)3]·3H2O or (GH)3[Ce(pydc)3]·3H2O (G = guanidine and pydc = pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate), shows a tricapped trigonal-prismatic coordination. Hydrogen-bonding interactions between the cation, anion and water molecules result in a three-dimensional supramolecular network structure.
