3-Carboxypyridinium ammonium sulfate sulfamic acid solvate

S. Athimoolam and S. Natarajan

Abstract: In the title compound, C6H6NO2+·NH4+·SO42-·NH3SO3, 3-carboxypyridinium ions form N-H...O hydrogen-bonded chains along the b axis. Ammonium and sulfate ions and sulfamic acid molecules form a two-dimensional network of hydrogen bonds parallel to (001). This leads to the formation of alternate hydrophilic and hydrophobic layers.
