(E)-2-Hydroxy-N'-[1-(4-methoxyphenyl)ethylidene]benzohydrazide

Abstract: The title molecule, C₁₆H₁₆N₂O₃, adopts a trans configuration with respect to the C=N double bond. The dihedral angle between the two rings is 47.2 (3)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular O-HO hydrogen bonds, which link the molecules into a chain parallel to the b axis.
