Abstract: The title compound, C₂₃H₂₉NO₄, has been obtained by a Grignard reaction of 3-tert-butyl 4-methyl (4S)-2,2-dimethyloxazolidine-3,4-dicarboxylate with phenylmagnesium bromide. An intramolecular hydrogen bond occurs between the oxazole and hydroxy groups.
