Abstract: The Bi atom in the title complex, [Bi(C₁₂H₂₂O₂PS₂)₃]·2CHCl₃, is octahedrally coordinated within an S₆ donor set. The solvent CHCl₃ molecules are associated with the complex via C-HO interactions. The crystal structure comprises layers of complex molecules interspersed by layers of CHCl₃ molecules.
