Abstract: Cations of the title compound, [Cu(C₅H₄NOS)(C₁₂H₈N₂)]₂(S₄O₆)·3H₂O, assemble into dimers through paired C-HS hydrogen bonds, and neighbouring dimers are linked into sheets by hydrogen bonds built from the water molecules and the tetrathionate anions.
