Aqua(1,10-phenanthroline-²N,N')(pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylato-³N,O,O')nickel(II) monohydrate

Abstract: The title complex, [Ni(C₇H₃NO₄)(C₁₂H₈N₂)(H₂O)]·H₂O, has been prepared hydrothermally. The asymmetric unit contains three water molecules and three nearly identical molecules of the mononuclear nickel(II) complex. A mer-O₃N₃ donor set defines a distorted octahedron around the metal atom. The crystal structure contains two independent networks of hydrogen bonds.
