Bis(benzotriazol-1-yloxy)methane

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₃H₁₀N₆O₂, which was synthesized by condensation of 1-hydroxybenzotriazole with dichloromethane at 273 K, is a by-product in peptide synthesis. The two ring systems form a dihedral angle of 53.90 (4)°, and - stacking interactions are found in the crystal structure.
