-benzene-1,3-dicarboxylato] hemihydrate]Abstract: In the title compound, {[Co(C8H4O4)(C18H10N4)]·0.5H2O}n or {[Co(1,3-BDC)(L)]·0.5H2O}n, where 1,3-BDC is the benzene-l,3-dicarboxylate dianion and L is dipyrido[3,2-a:2',3'-c]phenazine, each CoII atom is five-coordinated by two N atoms from one L ligand, and three O atoms from three different 1,3-BDC anions in a distorted tetragonal-pyramidal geometry. Adjacent CoII atoms are bridged by the 1,3-BDC ligands to form a two-dimensional network. The 1,3-BDC ligands lie on twofold rotation axes.
