Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Sn(CH₃)₂(C₆H₁₂N₃S)Cl]·C₆H₁₃N₃S, contains two independent formula units. Each Sn^IV atom exists in a cis-trigonal-bipyramidal geometry. The Cl and imino N atoms occupy the axial sites.
