Abstract: The Sn^IV atom in the title compound, [Sn(CH₃)₂(C₁₅H₂₁N₇S₂)]Cl₂, is chelated by the deprotonated 2,6-diacetylpyridine bis(4-ethylthiosemicarbazone) ligand in a trans-C₂SnN₃S₂ pentagonal-bipyramidal geometry.
