2N,N')(hippurato-
2O,O')cadmium(II) perchlorate dihydrateAbstract: In the title complex, [Cd(C9H7NO3)(C10H8N2)2]ClO4·2H2O, the CdII atom is six-coordinated by two O atoms from the hippurate ligand and four N atoms from two 2,2-bipyridine ligands in a distorted octahedral geometry. The molecules are linked by O-H
O hydrogen bonds, generating edge-shared centrosymmetric R54(15) rings along the [010] direction. Intermolecular C-H
O and N-H
O hydrogen-bonding interactions stabilize the crystal packing.
