Abstract: In the title compound, {[ZnCl₂(C₆H₄NO₂)]₂[Zn(H₂O)₆]·2H₂O}_n, one Zn atom is involved in the formation of one-dimensional infinite zigzag anionic chains, whereas the second Zn atom, located on a twofold axis, is surrounded by six water molecules as a hexaaqua cation. The occurrence of O-HO and O-HCl hydrogen bonds results in a supramolecular three-dimensional network.
