Abstract: In the title compound, C10H8N8·C8H6O4, both acid and base molecules (A:B) have twofold crystallographic symmetry. One-dimensional zigzag chains of rings form as (A
B
)n through O-H
N and C-H
O=C interactions; further association of B (with A) along the a axis via bifurcated N-H
N and
-
stacking interactions gives a three-dimensional self-penetrating structure.
