Abstract: In the molecule of the title compound, [Zn(C₇H₅O₂)₂(C₁₀H₈N₂)], the Zn(II) atom is bonded to two N atoms from the bipyridyl ligand and four O atoms of two benzoate groups, exhibiting a very distorted octahedral geometry.
