Cholesteryl phenylacetate

Y. J. Park

Abstract: The molecule of the title compound, C35H52O2, adopts an extended conformation, with the phenylacetate group twisted by 69.3 (1)° from the least-squares plane of the tetracyclic ring system. In the crystal structure, the molecules are aligned in an antiparallel fashion to form alternate layers. These layers are then packed in a herring-bone arrangement.
