Aquachlorobis(1,10-phenanthroline)cobalt(II) chloride thiourea solvate

Abstract: The Co(II) ion in the title compound, [CoCl(phen)₂(H₂O)]Cl·C(NH₂)₂S [phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, (C₁₂H₈N₂)], has a distorted octahedral coordination formed by one Cl atom, one water molecule, and four N atoms of two phen ligands. Ions and molecules are linked into a three-dimensional framework by N-HS, N-HCl and O-HCl hydrogen bonds. The supramolecular network structure is consolidated by - stacking interactions and hydrogen bonds.
