Abstract: The title inorganic-organic hybrid, {(C₇H₁₈N₅)₂[Mo₈O₂₇]·6H₂O}_n, features polyoxomolybdate chains with neighboring [Mo₈O₂₇]^6- subunits, each lying on an inversion center, sharing an O atom. These polyanionic chains together with the organic cations and the water molecules are linked together by hydrogen bonds to form a three-dimensional network.
