Abstract: The title compound, C15H19NO3, a Schiff base, crystallizes as a zwitterion with the hydroxyl H atom transfered to the imine N atom. This leads to the formation of an intramolecular N-H...O hydrogen bond. In the crystal structure, symmetry-related molecules are linked by an intermolecular O-H...O hydrogen bond, forming chains extended in the a-axis direction. The molecules are also connected via C-H...O hydrogen bonds, forming a two-dimensional network.
