Abstract: In the solid state, the title molecule, C₁₃H₁₀BrNO₂, exhibits two intramolecular hydrogen bonds, namely an O-HO hydrogen bond between vicinal hydroxy groups and an N-HO hydrogen bond involving hydroxy and imine groups. In the crystal structure, symmetry-related molecules are linked by bifurcated O-HO hydrogen bonds to form centrosymmetric hydrogen-bonded dimers.
