Abstract: In the title mononuclear complex, [ZnCl₂(C₁₃H₁₉ClN₂O)], the Zn^II atom is four-coordinated by a phenolate O atom and an imine N atom of a Schiff base ligand and by two Cl atoms, forming a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked through intermolecular C-HCl and N-HO hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to the bc plane.
