Abstract: In the title mononuclear complex, [ZnCl2(C13H19ClN2O)], the ZnII atom is four-coordinated by a phenolate O atom and an imine N atom of a Schiff base ligand and by two Cl atoms, forming a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked through intermolecular C-H
Cl and N-H
O hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to the bc plane.
