Abstract: In the title compound, (CH₆N₃)₂[Pr(NO₃)₅(H₂O)₂], the Pr³⁺ ion is coordinated by 12 O atoms, giving a distorted icosahedron. The Pr³⁺ cation, one N atom and one O atom lie on a twofold axis.
