2O,O')(dimethylformamide-
O)[2-phenoxyethanal (2-oxidobenzylidene)hydrazonato-
3O,N,O']cobalt(III)Abstract: There are two crystallographically independent molecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Co(C15H12N2O3)(C5H7O2)(C3H7NO)]. The CoIII atom is coordinated by one phenolate O atom, one carbonyl O atom and one hydrazine N atom from the dianionic hydrazone ligand L2-, two O atoms from the acetylacetonate anion, and one O atom from the coordinated dimethylformamide molecule, to form an elongated octahedron. The dianionic ligand L2- is not planar.
