Dichlorobis(1-{[2-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl]methyl}-1H-1,2,4-triazole-N⁴)zinc(II)

Abstract: In the title compound, [ZnCl₂(C₁₂H₁₁Cl₂N₃O₂)₂], the Zn atom lies on a twofold rotation axis and adopts a slightly deformed tetrahedral coordination with two Cl ions and two N atoms from monodentate 1-{[2-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl]methyl}-1H-1,2,4-triazole ligands. Complex molecules are linked via weak C-HO/Cl interactions, forming ribbons along the b axis in the crystal structure.
