2-(4-Chlorophenyl)-3-methyl-N-(thiazol-2-yl)butanamide

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₄H₁₅ClN₂OS, was prepared from a condensation reaction between 2-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-methylbutanoyl chloride and 2-aminothiazole. The angle between the thiazole and benzene rings is 58.87 (8)°. There are N-HN hydrogen-bonding interactions which give rise to dimers in the solid state.
