Abstract: The title compound, C14H15ClN2OS, was prepared from a condensation reaction between 2-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-methylbutanoyl chloride and 2-aminothiazole. The angle between the thiazole and benzene rings is 58.87 (8)°. There are N-H
N hydrogen-bonding interactions which give rise to dimers in the solid state.
