(3-Phenylsulfanyl-1-phenylsulfonyl-1H-indol-2-yl)methyl benzoate

Abstract: In the molecule of the title compound, C₂₈H₂₁NO₄S₂, the sulfonyl-bound phenyl and the thiophenyl rings are oriented at angles of 70.07 (5) and 86.00 (5)°, respectively, with respect to the indole ring system. Molecules are linked into centrosymmetric R₂²(20) dimers by paired C-HO hydrogen bonds, and these dimers are linked by C-HO hydrogen bonds and C-H interactions into ribbons.
