(6-Mercaptopurinato)(tricyclohexylphosphine)gold(I) ethanol solvate

Abstract: The Au atom in the title complex, [(c-C₆H₁₁)₃PAu(6-MP)]CH₃CH₂OH (6-MP is 6-mercaptopurinate) or [Au(C₅H₃N₄S)(C₁₈H₃₃P)]·C₂H₆O, is linearly coordinated within an SP donor set. The solvent ethanol molecules are associated with the complex via O-HN interactions so that two ethanol molecules bridge two 6-MP residues via a 12-membered {HOHNCN}₂ system.
