Abstract: The Au atom in the title complex, [(c-C6H11)3PAu(6-MP)]CH3CH2OH (6-MP is 6-mercaptopurinate) or [Au(C5H3N4S)(C18H33P)]·C2H6O, is linearly coordinated within an SP donor set. The solvent ethanol molecules are associated with the complex via O-H
N interactions so that two ethanol molecules bridge two 6-MP residues via a 12-membered {HO
HNCN}2 system.
